CSV Quick Order

CSV Quick Order helps you save time by streamlining the checkout process for multiple items. It reduces errors through validated entries, making your ordering experience smoother and more reliable. You can also save and reuse templates for future purchases, making reordering even faster.

This feature is available after you log in to your account.

Or you can click CSV Quick Order under your name on the right corner of the website.

 

Step-by-Step Guide

1.Download the CSV Template

Start by downloading our pre-formatted CSV template using the Download CSV Template button. 

 

This template includes all the required fields—such as Item Number, Plasmid Name, and other optional options—to ensure your order is processed smoothly. 
You can reuse the template for future orders, so there is no need to download it every time.

 

2. Fill Out the CSV File

Open the template in Excel or Google Sheets and enter your product details. Please delete the first line with sample data.

 

For item column you can use Item Number or simply put Maxi, Mega or Giga. If you use item number, make sure the Item Number is accurate to avoid upload errors. If your item numbers begin with a zero, you don’t need to include the leading zero—it will be recognized automatically.

If you are unsure about what to enter in any column, you can leave it blank. After uploading the file, you'll be able to select missing options from dropdown menus on the Quick Order table. 
Some fields, such as Archiving, require a simple YES or NO response. Be sure to enter these values accurately to ensure proper processing.

Here are some instructions for each field:

Item (Required): Enter the item number or specify the format (Maxi, Mega, or Giga).
Plasmid Name (Required): Enter the name of the construct.
Starting Material (Required): Choose one of the following: Aldevron Archive, Plasmid DNA, or Glycerol Stock.
Archived Plasmid (Required if Starting Material is Aldevron Archive): Provide the archived plasmid lot number.
Host Strain (Optional if Starting Material is Glycerol Stock): Enter the host strain if applicable.
Size (bp) (Required): Enter the size of the plasmid in base pairs (e.g., 1234).
Antibiotic Resistance (Required): Choose one of the following: Ampicillin or Kanamycin.
Buffer (Required): Select one of the following options exactly as shown:
Water
10mM Tris, 0.1mM EDTA, pH 8.0
10mM Tris, 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0 (TE)
10mM Tris, pH 8.0
Concentration Adjustment (Optional): Leave blank or enter one of the following: >0 mg/mL, 1 mg/mL.
Archiving (Optional): Enter YES, TRUE, or T.
Comment (Optional): Add any notes or comments relevant to your order.

Important: All values must be entered exactly as shown above to ensure proper validation and processing.

 

3. Upload Your File

Once your file is ready, upload it by clicking the Upload a CSV File button. Your items will be automatically added to the Quick Order table.
If your file is missing required data or contains invalid entries, you’ll see an alert message. Simply click Continue to review and correct the errors directly in the table.

Any invalid or missing data will be highlighted in red within the Quick Order table, making it easy to identify and correct before submitting your order. For example, if you enter "Ampicilin" instead of the correct spelling "Ampicillin", the cell will be flagged for correction.

 

If you encounter any invalid or missing data, simply click on the highlighted cell to view a list of valid options. From there, you can easily select the correct value to update your entry.

 

Then click Add to Cart button to submit your order.

 

4. Or Use the Table Entry Tool

Prefer to enter items manually? Use our interactive table to input SKUs and quantities directly without uploading a CSV file. It is fast, intuitive, and great for smaller orders or quick edits.

Select the Item first then complete all required and optional information for each line. 
 

You can manage rows in the Quick Order table using the following buttons:

Add New Row to insert a new entry
Delete Selected Row to remove a specific row
Delete All Rows to clear the entire table


Once you've completed entering all required information, click the Add to Cart button to submit your order.
